4WD SUSPENSION & LIFT KITS

4WD SUSPENSION

The right suspension setup can completely change how your 4WD drives, carries weight and performs on and off-road.

At All Barred Up, we look at your vehicle, the accessories fitted, the weight it carries, towing requirements and how you actually use it before recommending a suspension package.

Suspension Built For Your 4WD

Your suspension should be matched to the weight your 4WD carries and the way you use it.

Bull bars, winches, canopies, drawers, towing weight and touring gear can all change how the vehicle sits and handles.

We look at the vehicle as it is now, what you’re planning to add and what you need it to do before recommending a suspension setup.

Common reasons customers upgrade their suspension:

Additional accessory weight

Caravan and trailer towing

Canopies and service bodies

Touring setups

Increased ground clearance

Improved off-road capability

Heavy constant loads

Replacing worn factory suspension

SPRINGS

The correct spring rate depends on the weight the vehicle carries.

We can help select coil or leaf spring options based on permanent accessories, typical payload, towing and how the 4WD is used.

SHOCK ABSORBERS

Shock absorbers control suspension movement and have a major influence on how a 4WD handles on-road, over corrugations and off-road.

The right shock needs to work with the springs, vehicle weight and intended use.

LIFT KITS

Suspension lift kits can provide additional clearance and improve the vehicle’s ability to travel over uneven terrain.

Lift height is only one part of the setup. Suspension geometry, load and supporting components also need to be considered.

LOAD ASSIST & SUPPORTING PARTS

Depending on the vehicle and setup, additional components such as airbags, control arms or other suspension parts may form part of the overall package.

Suspension for Towing & Load Carrying

A caravan, trailer, canopy, tools or touring equipment can add substantial weight to a 4WD.

Factory suspension is designed to suit a broad range of uses, but once permanent weight is added, a more suitable suspension setup may be required.

We work with proven 4WD suspension brands and choose the package around your vehicle, the weight it carries and how you use it. The right setup matters more than simply choosing a brand or lift height.
